Xiaomi 14 & Xiaomi 14 Ultra Announced Globally: Watch 3, Smart Band 8 Pro & Pad 6S also launched

Mobile World Congress 2024 is about to kick off today in Barcelona, Spain. The event will see various leading tech brands from around the world hosting shows and showcasing their plans for the future. A day before MWC officially begins, third-largest smartphone maker Xiaomi held its ecosystem event wherein the company announced several products for the global market-

Let us have a look at the features, prices & availability of these newly launched products one by one.

Xiaomi 14: Features

Xiaomi has announced its flagship smartphone series during the event. Xiaomi 14 Series includes two devices- Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, both of which feature top-notch photography capabilities.

Xiaomi 14 is a compact device that has a thickness of 8.20mm. It comes with a 6.36-inch AMOLED 1.5K display with 3000 nits brightness, 460 ppi, and 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 14 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and features Qualcomm FastConnect 7800, bringing WiFi 72 with a 320MHz capacity.

There is a triple camera setup at the back including a 50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto sensor. At the front is a 32MP selfie shooter. Under the hood, the flagship packs a 4610mAh battery supported by 90W HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS and Xiaomi has promised four years of Android OS and five years of security patches for the Xiaomi 14 Series.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra: Features

Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a streamlined flat-back design with a circular camera module for back cameras. It features an aluminum frame, nano-tech vegan leather, and Xiaomi shield glass. The Ultra model comes with a 6.73-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 3000 nits brightness, and 522 ppi.

Just like the base model, it is also powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. There is a quad camera setup at the back that includes a 50MP Sony LYT900 main sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto zoom lens, a 50MP Sony IMX858 lens, and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. There is a 32MP selfie camera at the front. Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports Dolby Vision and an additional microphone for a 4-mic array.

Under the hood, Xiaomi 14 Ultra packs a 5000mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge and 80W wireless HyperCharge capability. It runs HyperOS and has been promised four years of Android and five years of security updates.

Xiaomi 14 Series: Price & Availability

Xiaomi 14 comes in two storage configurations-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage  
  • 12GB RAM+512GB storage

The price starts at around Rs. 89,000 globally. It will be available in black, white, and jade green shades. In India, it will launch on March 7 and will cost somewhere around Rs. 75,000

Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes in a single storage model-

16GB RAM+512GB storage- EUR 1499 (Rs. 1.34 lakh approx.)

It will be available in black and white shades in select markets.

Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro: Specs

Xiaomi has announced its next flagship tablet as well. The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro sports a 12.4-inch LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 900 nits brightness, and a 3K resolution. The Pad is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB onboard storage. For graphics, there is an Adreno 740 GPU.

The tablet runs Xiaomi HyperOS and packs a large 10,000mAh battery under the hood with 120W fast charging speed. At the back is a 50MP primary and a 2MP depth camera while at the front is a 32MP selfie snapper. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 6-speaker setup supported by Dolby Atmos, and a thickness of 6.26mm. The tablet weighs 590 grams and comes in a Graphite grey shade.

Xiaomi Watch 2

The Xiaomi Watch 2 comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a 466x466p resolution, 600 nits brightness, and a frame made of aluminum alloy. It is powered by Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset and features 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The watch is pre-loaded with Google’s WearOS and will be available in silver and black shades.

The smartwatch packs a 495mAh battery offering up to 65 hours of battery life on a single charge. It weighs 36.8 grams and is 11.8mm thick. Xiaomi Watch 2 is 5ATM rated for protection against water. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi, GPS, Galileo, Glonass, and BeiDou. It is equipped with various sensors like a heart rate sensor, SpO2 monitor, gyroscope, barometer, ambient light sensor, etc. There are 160+ sports modes and safety features like SOS and fall detection.

Xiaomi Watch 2 is priced at EUR 199 (approx. Rs. 17,900).

Xiaomi Watch S3: Features

The Xiaomi Watch S3 sports a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED panel with 326ppi, 466x466p resolution, and 600 nits brightness. It is 12mm thick and weighs 44 grams. The smartwatch is powered by a 486mAh battery offering up to 15 hours of battery life. It supports fast charging which means it can offer 2 days of battery life with 5 minutes.

The Xiaomi Watch S3 comes in Black and Silver shades and has interchangeable bezels so users can customize the watch as per liking. The Watch S3 straps can be bought in shades of Ocean Blue, Chrome Yellow, Rainbow, and Dual-tone ceramic.

Xiaomi Watch S3 is priced at EUR 199 (approx. Rs. 17,900)

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro: Specifications

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro features a larger 1.74-inch AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, 336ppi, and 336x480p resolution. This latest fitness tracker comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 200+ loaded watch faces. The band weighs 22.5 grams and is 9.99mm thick.

The Smart Band 8 Pro packs a 289mAh battery that gives 14 days of runtime. There are 150+ sports modes, in-built GNSS, and more as well. The company is also offering braided, leather, and Milanese straps for the fitness tracker along with TPUs. The band is 5ATM rated for water resistance.

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is priced at EUR 69 (approx. Rs.6200).
