On Friday, Lava International launched the Yuva 3 in India. The phone has a 6.5-inch HD+ screen, a 5,000 mAh battery, and three rather vibrant colors. It will be available to purchase from Amazon and the company’s official website in a few days.

The Yuva 3 comes in three colors: Eclipse Black, Cosmic Lavendar, and Galaxy White. Users get nearly symmetrical bezels on the front on three sides and a thicker chin at the bottom. There’s a punch-hole camera in the center as well.

Users get the power button and volume rockers on the right, while the left panel houses the SIM tray. The USB-C port, along with the speaker and the primary microphone, are on the bottom frame.

The side frame and the back panel have a metallic and matte finish, respectively, which gives the smartphone a premium look.

The Lava Yuva 3 has a 6.5-inch HD+ screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the Unisoc T606 octa-core processor. The processor runs alongside 4GB of physical RAM and 4GB of virtual RAM. In terms of storage, users can pick from either 64GB or 128GB variants; both feature UFS 2.2 storage.

Regarding optics, the smartphone has a 13MP primary sensor. The official press release mentions something about a “13MP Triple AI rear camera,” but the resolution and nature of the other two cameras aren’t mentioned. On the front, users get a 5MP selfie shooter. Powering the smartphone is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging.

Fortunately, the phone supports charging via a USB-C port, not a micro USB port. Other features of the smartphone include face unlock, two years of assured security updates, a guaranteed update to Android 14, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Out of the box, the phone ships with Android 13. Considering the price we’ll discuss next, the Lava Yuva 3 seems to be a decent smartphone.

Another unique selling point for the smartphone is the company’s promise to provide free home service for phones under warranty. This is a great convenience, considering users must take the phones to the service center and get them repaired for a fee.

Lava Yuva 3 Price

There are two models of the handset. The base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs Rs. 6,799. Further, the variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 7,299.

Regarding availability, the Lava Yuva 3 will be available on Amazon starting February 7 and on the Lava E-Store and retail network starting February 10, 2024.
