Lava, a domestic mobile phone brand, has announced the release of its latest smartphone, the Lava Yuva 2 Pro. Despite a slump in demand for budget 4G-enabled devices, Lava has launched the Yuva 2 Pro, which boasts a premium glass back design similar to Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series.

Lava Yuva 2 Pro price in India, availability

The device is only available in a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant, retailing for Rs 7,999, and can be purchased at offline multi-brand retail stores or online through Lava e-store and other e-commerce platforms.

Lava Yuva 2 Pro specifications

The Lava Yuva 2 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB through a hybrid SIM and microSD card slot. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch to house the front camera, while the rear camera setup includes a 13MP primary camera and two VGA cameras, though the intended purpose of the additional cameras is unclear.

The front-facing camera is a 5MP sensor with an ‘AI’ mode in the pre-installed camera app. The device runs on a bloatware-free Android 12 operating system and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, but lacks additional fast charging features. Lava has committed to offering an Android 13 upgrade for the device, as well as two years of security updates.
