Huawei P Smart Z phone With Kirin 710F and Popup Selfie Camera Unveiled

The Huawei P Smart Z which became a victim of the online leak last week has now been officially unveiled. The mid-range smartphone is the first Huawei phone to come with a pop-up selfie camera. After Vivo and Oppo, Huawei has become only the third smartphone brand to have embraced the trend.

What else does Huawei P Smart Z have apart from the pop-up camera?

Well, the Huawei P Smart Z features a 6.59-inch full view full HD+ screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It doesn’t feature a notch or punch hole in the screen.

The phone rocks a Kirin 710F chipset which is aided by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a dedicated a microSD card slot for consumers who need to go beyond the 64GB onboard storage.

As for mobile photography, the Huawei P Smart Z uses a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For those who love to click themselves, there is a 16MP sensor fitted in a pop-up module. Huawei claims its pop up camera has been tested over 100,000 cycles over durability and mechanical failures. Both cameras have Huawei’s  AI features for scene recognition that recognize 500+ scenes in 22 categories.

It comes with a 4,000 mAh battery, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port. As expected, the handset runs Android 9 Pie based EMUI 9.0 OS.

Huawei P Smart Z Pricing and availability

At present, the handset has only been made official in certain European markets. It will first go on sale in Italy before gradually releasing in other countries. The Huawei P Smart Z price in Europe is set at 280 Euro which roughly translate Rs 21,000. It remains to be seen whether or not Huawei P Smart Z makes it to India.
