HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ Launched In India: Price, Specifications and Features

HTC has just announced its new mid-range phones with middling specs and bloated price tags in India, dubbed as the Desire 12 and Desire 12+. Both phones have full vision 18:9 aspect ratio screens, and of the two, the Desire 12+ is relatively bigger and better equipped.

HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ Features

Talking about the HTC Desire 12+ specifications, the handset features a 6-inch HD+ (1440X720 p) display and is powered by Snapdragon 450 chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage space. The storage is expandable up to 2TB microSD card.

For photography, the Desire U12+ sports 13-megapixel+2-megapixel sensor setup on the rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture lens, face detection, panorama, and full HD video recording. The additional sensor on the phone also ensures bokeh mode – images with blur background. For selfie camera on the same is an 8-megapixel shooter with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture lens.

The HTC Desire 12, on the other hand, comes with 5.5-inch HD+ (1440X720 p) display and MediaTek MT6739 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. In optics, it has a 13MP and 5MP sensor on the front and back, respectively. The phone houses a 2730mAh battery and runs on the Android Oreo 8.0-based HTC Sense UI out-of-the-box.

The HTC Desire 12+ also runs on the same platform but packs a 2965mAh battery and include a fingerprint sensor. Other specifications of the phones like connectivity are more and less the same.

HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ Price, Availability

The phones seem over-priced for the specifications they offers. While the HTC Desire 12 costs Rs 15,800, the Desire 12+ bears a price tag of Rs 19,790. They both are being offered in Cool Black and Silver Cool color options.

In the brand name of Desire, HTC has launched two smartphones namely desire-12 and 12+ and they have a reasonable price segment. Both seems to be great in terms of design and specification.
