HTC Wildfire X powered by MediaTek Helio P22 launched in India starting at Rs 9999

HTC India has unveiled its new phone – Wildfire X in India. It brings a standard design choice and low-key spec sheet. As evident from the teaser, this one sports a waterdrop notch and gradient suit. Inside, you have an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 driving it. Let’s unwrap the features to see what all the new phone from Wildfire series has up its sleeve.

Wildfire X has a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS waterdrop notch display with 88.8% screen-to-body ratio. Within that tiny cavity resides the phone’s 8MP selfie snapper.

As for the back, the back homes a troika, comprising a 12MP (Main, 1.25 μm) coupled with an 8MP (8x hybrid Zoom, 2x Lossless Optical Zoom) sensor and a 5MP depth-sensing unit. Besides the cameras, you get a capacitive fingerprint scanner.

The phone comes in a smooth curvy body which is 7.95 mm slim. The 3D OPVD mirror finish gives it an aesthetic appeal and ergonomic build. Like many other gradient phones, light reflects off its Sapphire Blue body glittering the Hyper Optical patterns.

The internals holds together an octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 chipset along with upto 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. HTC gives Android 9.0 (Pie) as software. Then there is a menial 3300mAh battery with 10W charging support.

 

HTC has included a ‘Mybuddy’ security feature that allows you to share your real-time location, record, transmit sound/video of the surrounding, and trigger even a loud alarm at the time of distress. You also get the typical goodies like 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio, USC Type-C, Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.1.

HTC Wildfire X starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM with 64GB storage variant and a 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model costing Rs. 12,999 in India. You could buy it from Flipkart starting August 22nd.

As an introductory offer, you could grab the device at discounted pricing from Flipkart, probably for a limited period.

Other launch offers include –

  • Any new or existing Vodafone Idea Limited customer will be given Rs75x50 (Rs. 3750) Coupons in his/her MyVodafone/MyIdea (MVA/MIA) App. Once customer recharges with Rs. 255/- through MVA/MIA, Rs.75 coupon can be redeemed. User will get an additional 0.5 GB data per day for 18 months.
  • Finally, there is also 6 months of accidental damage protection and the 1-year warranty including complimentary pickup and drop facility.
