Honor has officially confirmed that its upcoming Honor X80 Pro Max will feature the brightest smartphone display ever announced, with a peak brightness exceeding 10,000 nits. According to Honor, the X80 Pro Max’s display achieves “industry’s first 10,000-level highlight screen,” making it significantly brighter than previous record holders.
The Brightest Display On Any Smartphone?

The Honor X80 Pro Max comes with a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Key brightness figures shared by the company include a peak brightness of 10,000 nits and typical high brightness mode (HBM) of around 2,000 nits. The bezels are also extremely slim at just 1.3mm.
The panel also supports high-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming for better eye comfort during prolonged use. While 10,000 nits is an extremely high figure, such peak brightness ratings are typically measured on very small portions of the screen (usually 1-5% window size) under specific conditions. In real-world use, full-screen brightness is considerably lower.
Biggest Battery On Any Mainstream Smartphone

Alongside the bright display, the X80 Pro Max packs an enormous 11,000 mAh battery. That’s the largest battery in any mainstream smartphone to date. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging too. And despite the large battery, the phone measures just 8.08 mm thick and weighs 203 grams.
