Honor Band 6 with AMOLED display, SpO2, Heart-rate tracker goes official

Honor has unveiled the 6th gen update of its budget fitness band. But unlike the predecessor Honor Band 5, the Band 6 sports a broader watch-like face. The front has got an AMOLED panel. Inside, it still bags trackers for blood oxygen, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, etc.

Honor Band 6 Highlights

Upfront, you’ve got a 1.47-inch AMOLED 2.5D touchscreen which is 148% bigger than the precursor. You can customize the dial background with 100+ watch faces. There is a multifunctioning side button for navigation and other interactive purposes.

By the base, you’ll see the charging pins to which the bundled magnetic adapter will attach neatly. With a 5-min charge, the band assures you 2-days worth of juice. Honor claims up to 14 days of battery life with general usage and up to 10 days with heavy use with its 180mAh battery.

Right next to the charging area, you’ll see the optical heart rate sensor too. Honor Band 6 comes with Huawei’s TruSeen 4.0-based 24-hour heart rate tracking. Other health features include Huawei TruSleep 2.0 sleep tracking, Huawei TruRelax stress tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, ovulation tracking, and more.

Coming to fitness features, you get 10 workout modes such as Outdoor running, Indoor running, Outdoor walking, Indoor walking, Outdoor cycling, Indoor cycling, Free training, the Rowing machine, and Elliptical machine. Honor even allows automatic logging of 6 workout activities.

The rest of the stuff includes things like Bluetooth 5.0 based real-time notification sync, NFC (Optional), and 5ATM water-resistance up to 50 meters.

Honor Band 6 Price and Availability

HONOR Band 6 is currently launched in China at 249 yuan (~₹2,780) for the standard edition and 289 yuan (~₹3,230) for the NFC model. It is out in 3 colors viz. Meteorite Black, Seagull Grey, and Coral Pink.

Since the Honor Band 5 was released in India. You could expect the product to make its way across the borders. However, the company hasn’t divulged the Indian launch or price details yet.
