Finnish smartphone maker HMD (which has also overtaken Nokia) has announced a new affordable series of smartphones in the country. HMD Crest Series has arrived in India and includes two smartphones- HMD Crest & HMD Crest Max. These are the first smartphones that HMD has brought to India and thus there is anticipation about how they will perform in the competitive Indian market.
Similar to HMD Skyline, the HMD Crest series also comes with a repairable design. Earlier it was supposed to be called Arrow Series, but later HMD dropped the name due to legal matters.

HMD Crest Series: Price & Availability
HMD Crest comes in a single storage version-
- 6GB RAM+128GB storage- Rs. 14,499. Launch price-Rs. 12,999. It comes in pink, purple, and blue shades.
HMD Crest Max also comes in a single storage configuration-
- 8GB RAM+256GB storage-Rs. 16,499. Launch Price-Rs. 14,999. It comes in green, pink, and purple shades.

HMD Crest: Features
HMD Crest is powered by a Unisoc T760 chipset with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED screen. Under the hood is a 5000mAh battery with 33W wired charging. In terms of the camera, there is a dual-lens setup at the back including a 50MP primary camera and an AI lens. There is a 50MP selfie snapper at the front. It runs Android 14 out of the box.

HMD Crest Max: Specs
The HMD Crest Max is powered by the same Unisoc T760 chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and packs a 5000mAh powerhouse with 33W charging speed.
At the back is a triple camera setup including a 64MP main, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro shooter. It runs Android 14 out of the box. There is also a 50MP snapper at the front for video calls and selfies.
The Crest series of smartphones comes equipped with Repairability 1.0, simplifying the task of swapping out the back panel, battery, screen, and charging port.
