How To Play The Squid Game Easter Egg Video Game?

Google Search Squid Game Easter Egg: How To Play The Thematic Game?

The Google search easter egg consists of a minigame based on the popular “Red Light, Green Light” game showcased in the series. To play the minigame, you have to search the term “Squid Game” on Google Search, either on a desktop or mobile. With the search results, a floating invitation (dull brown color) will pop toward the bottom of the screen. Clicking on the invitation button opens the “Red Light, Green Light” game.

The objective of the minigame is simple: you’ve to move the six characters at the start line forward and reach the finish line. However, as seen in the show, the characters should only move when the doll at the finish line isn’t looking at them. If they move when the doll turns its head, the character in the front is eliminated (and not in the same way as they are in the series, if anyone’s wondering).

The movement and cues are well coordinated with the eery soundtrack that’s used in the series (for an immersive feel). Moreover, it is a simple, one-click minigame that is fun to play, especially for Squid Games fans. Completing one round takes around two to three minutes.
