Forget the Galaxy S24 FE Price Drop! These Phones Are Better Buys

The Galaxy S24 FE has recently gone on sale for ₹45,000, a sharp drop from its initial ₹60,000 price. While this may seem like a discount, it’s still hard to recommend at ₹45,000, especially when much better options are available.

The FE series has traditionally been positioned as a more affordable alternative to flagship models, but the past two years ends up feeling more like a compromise. Unfortunately, this year’s model continues the trend, offering a less-than-ideal value for the money.

Key Reasons to Skip the Galaxy S24 FE

  1. The Exynos 2400e lacks the optimization needed to justify the price, especially when compared to competitors in this range.
  2. The 8 MP telephoto sensor is a 1/4.5-inch sensor, smaller than the 8 MP ultra-wide sensors and smaller than the telephoto on the ₹24,000 Motorola Edge 50 Neo. The results from this sensor are enough to keep you away.
  3. With only 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage in the base model, the S24 FE feels limited, especially when competing phones offer more storage (faster too) at similar or lower prices.
  4. Finally, better phones are available at a similar price.

Galaxy S24 FE Alternatives Worth Considering

1. Samsung Galaxy S23

A much better telephoto, a better-optimized chip, and a complete flagship. The S23 is usually available for under ₹40,000 and it’s definitely better than the S24 FE.

2. Find X8 (₹47,000 with offers)

This is a solid flagship contender priced under ₹50,000, offering flagship-level performance, great cameras, and wireless charging. It’s a much better overall value than the Galaxy S24 FE, especially at this discounted price.

3. iQOO 12

iQOO 13

This is for users who prioritize performance and zoom capabilities. The iQOO 12 has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a solid 3X periscope camera, though it lacks wireless charging, an IP rating, and a great selfie camera.

4. Galaxy S24 (₹50,000+)

A step up from the FE, the S24 delivers better performance, cameras, and features for those who prefer a more compact device with everything else superior. Sure, it’s a bit more expensive, but it’s worth considering, especially if you don’t want to buy the S23 because of the fewer years of updates.

Who Should Consider the Galaxy S24 FE?

If you’re a dedicated One UI fan looking for a larger battery and don’t mind the trade-offs in storage and camera quality, the S24 FE might suit your needs.

For most users, though, the Galaxy S23 and Find X8 are far better options. If you can stretch your budget, the S24+ might offer a better long-term experience (it will be available for ₹60,000 during this sale).

Overall, at ₹45,000, the Galaxy S24 FE doesn’t provide the best value, and the ideal price for this model would likely be around ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 for it to truly shine.
