[Update] This report was based on information shared by a tipster. His source for this price claim was a retail listing that he spotted. Later, the retailer took down the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 listings, so the information could be a way for the retailer to mislead us. Another possibility is that Samsung might have requested the removal of the listing. So, take this leak with a pinch of salt.

The original story is as follows:

While Samsung is busy preparing for the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event that will be held on July 10, 2024, we have some exciting news to share. We’ve got our hands on the European pricing of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, complete with details on storage variants and color options.

The leak comes from Sudhansu, a well-known tipster on X, whose source confirmed the retail pricing of the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6.

Galaxy Z Fold6 Price, Variants, and Colors

The Galaxy Z Fold6 will come in three storage variants in Europe. Unfortunately, there is no 16 GB RAM variant, contrary to some rumors earlier. The pricing is as follows—

  • 12 GB + 256 GB: €2200
  • 12 GB + 512 GB: €2330
  • 12 GB + 1 TB: €2580

Color options are Silver, Pink, and Navy. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold5, which was priced at €1899, €2039, and €2279, respectively, there’s a significant price bump of about €300.

Similarly, in the US, there is a $100 price hike, and in India, the price is expected to increase by INR 10,000 for all variants. There are not many changes expected in the Galaxy Z Fold6 apart from the price hike. Here are the expected specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold6:

  • 6.2” cover display and 7.6” inner display Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120 Hz, 2600 nits
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy
  • 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM
  • Up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage
  • 50 MP + 12 MP + 10 MP rear camera setup
  • 10 MP cover screen camera, 4 MP under-display camera
  • 4400 mAh battery
  • 25W fast charging
  • One UI 6.1.1 based on Android 14

Galaxy Z Flip6 Price, Variants, and Colors

In Europe, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will be available in two storage variants, similar to the US:

  • 12 GB + 256 GB: €1330
  • 12 GB + 512 GB: €1450

Color options include Blue, Mint, and Silver Shadow. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip5 was priced at €1199 and €1319, marking a notable price increase of €210 and €130, respectively.

This price hike of $100 mirrors the markup seen in the US market as well. Additionally, the price in India is expected to jump from INR 99,999 for the base variant to INR 1,09,999.

Samsung’s upcoming foldables are bringing the heat but with a hefty price tag. The Galaxy Z Flip6 packs a bigger battery and a better main sensor, but the Galaxy Z Fold6? There is not much new to justify the bump in cost. Are you willing to shell out more for Samsung’s latest foldables? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
