At CES 2026, Motorola announced its first book-style foldable: the Razr Fold. A couple of days ago, a renowned tipster published what appeared to be a promotional banner for the smartphone, and here we are, with the official specifications (some of them) and the design confirmed by Motorola.

A Shift From Clamshells to Productivity-Focused Book-Style Design
Before we go ahead, it’s worth mentioning that the Razr Fold is entering the market at a time when Samsung seems to have perfected its Fold formula with the Fold 7 (review), Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold appears to be doing well for the company, and the Chinese manufacturers are pushing the boundaries of engineering by making exceptionally thin foldables.
With that context, let’s look at the Motorola Razr Fold’s confirmed specifications. Unlike the company’s recent clamshell models, the Razr Fold will feature a tablet- or book-like foldable format, offering a larger internal and external screen, along with productivity-ready features, for users who want a reliable foldable experience.
First and foremost, the Razr Fold will be available in two colors: Pantone Lily White (smooth back finish) and Pantone Blackened Blue (woven vegan leather back finish).

Bigger, Sharper Displays and a Camera Setup Built to Compete
Motorola’s Razr Fold will feature a 6.6-inch outer display, slightly larger than the Fold 7’s 6.5-inch and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s 6.4-inch cover screens. Its inner foldable screen, measuring 8.09 inches, is also larger than its direct competitors (8.0 inches on the Fold 7 and Pixel Fold).
Motorola has confirmed that the internal display will feature a 2K resolution (2480 x 2200 pixels), resulting in a higher pixel density (a sharper display) than the Fold 7 and the Pixel Fold. It’s an LTPO OLED panel that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it supports stylus input (with palm-rejection technology; Samsung, are you reading this?).
The company has also confirmed a triple-rear camera setup for the Razr Fold, including a 50MP Sony LYTIA primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, the phone features a 32MP selfie shooter. On the inner screen, there’s a 20MP punch hole camera.
While the phone will get popular Moto AI features like Catch Me Up and Next Move, we don’t know the Android version or the chipset it will be based on (for now). The company’s specifications for the smartphone, including pricing and availability, should be unveiled soon.
