Renowned smartphone accessories maker Belkin has launched a couple of compact ‘Pocket Power’ power banks with polymer battery cell technology and fast charging support in India.

The 5000mAh power bank has a single micro USB port with 2.4A current output, and 1000mAh unit has multiple ports with maximum 3.4A output current. Both of the plastic-body Belking portable chargers have the requisite safety features built in, come with 6-inch micro USB cable, and a 4 LED indicators to denote charge level.

Belkin claims that the 5000mAh unit can charge an iPhone 7 one and a half times, and the 10000mAh charger can charge it up to 3 times.

“With the smartphone becoming even more essential in people’s lives, not just as a means of communication, but as a camera, music player, navigation system, and Internet-access device, preventing low battery on-the-go is even more important for consumers,” said Marco Peters, vice president of product management. “Deep consumer insight studies conducted by our teams allow us to understand what consumers need and encourage us to continue to innovate with new materials and technologies.”

Price and Availability

The new portable chargers come in 5000mAh and 10000mAh battery capacities and have been priced at Rs. 2,599 and Rs. 3,999, respectively. Both power banks will be available for purchase on Amazon.in and Imagine stores later this summer.
