Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 4, bringing major upgrades to health tracking, battery life and Apple Intelligence. The rugged smartwatch is powered by Apple’s new S11 chip and introduces features such as continuous heart-rate monitoring, Readiness and AI-powered conversation tools.

New Health Sensing System
One of the biggest upgrades is Apple’s new Health Sensing System, which uses redesigned optical and electrical heart sensors. The Ultra 4 can now take background heart-rate readings every five seconds throughout the day.
Heart rate variability (HRV) is also measured more frequently, while users get separate recovery and overall HRV metrics.
Apple has also introduced Readiness, which combines recent activity, training load, vitals and sleep data to generate a daily score from 0 to 10. It then recommends whether users should Recover, Pace Yourself, get Ready or Go For It.
Siri AI and Audio Intelligence
The Ultra 4 also gets a significant AI upgrade with watchOS 27. Siri AI brings personal context and broader knowledge directly to the watch.

New Audio Intelligence features include Live Rewind, which can show a text snippet of the previous 15 seconds of a conversation, and Siri Recap, which generates short summaries and key points from conversations. Sound Recognition can also alert users to important noises such as alarms, doorbells and sirens.
Apple says these features do not store audio recordings, while Siri Recap and Live Rewind will arrive in beta later this year.
Longer battery life
Apple Watch Ultra 4 delivers up to 50 hours of regular battery life and up to 84 hours in Low Power Mode. A 15-minute charge can provide up to 18 hours of additional usage.
Its Max Extended Workout mode can track outdoor workouts with GPS for up to 45 hours.

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 comes in natural and black titanium finishes and starts at ₹1,09,900 in India. Pre-orders are already open, with sales beginning on September 18.
