2023 Hyundai Verna launched in India: All-New Design, New Powertrain

Hyundai’s latest offering in India, the 2023 Verna, is a game-changer with its bold design and advanced features. The all-new Verna boasts a stunning exterior design, characterized by a large ‘parametric jewel’ grille, sharp cuts and creases, and a full-length light bar at the front and rear. The sedan is available in seven mono-tone colors and two dual-tone paint jobs.

The new 2023 Verna comes with a striking exterior design features a large and wide ‘parametric jewel’ grille, sharp cuts and creases, angular panels, and a full-length light bar at the front and rear. The new-gen Verna is available in seven mono-tone colours and two dual-tone paint jobs, including the Turbo variants that can also be had with a black roof, black alloy wheels, and red brake callipers.

Inside, the minimalist cabin has a black and beige dual-tone color scheme, while the turbo variants get an all-black interior with red inserts. Leather upholstery and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display are standard, while the top-end models come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging pad, and heated and ventilated front seats.

The new Verna is equipped with a range of advanced features, including six airbags, an electric sunroof, paddle shifters, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility, Bluelink with over 65 connected car features, and Level 2 autonomy with 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

2023 New Hyundai Verna Launched: Powertrain

Under the hood, the Verna is powered by two engine options: a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol producing 160PS and 253Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, inline-four, naturally aspirated petrol unit that makes 115PS and 144Nm of torque. Both engines are RDE-compliant and can run on E20 fuel. The turbo variant can be had with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT automatic transmission, while the non-turbo variant comes with a six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.

2023 New Hyundai Verna Price in India

The new Verna has already received over 8,000 bookings within a month of bookings commencement, and with its striking design, advanced features, and powerful engines, it’s easy to see why. The introductory prices start at Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a great value-for-money proposition in the highly competitive mid-size sedan segment.
