MediaTek has announced the Dimensity 9600 Pro and Dimensity 9600M at its Tech Day in Delhi. The 9600 Pro is its new 2nm flagship chipset, while the 9600M uses the Dimensity 9500 platform built on 3nm.
The OPPO Find X10 Pro Max will be the first phone in India with the Dimensity 9600 Pro, and OPPO says it will be among the first globally. Goldee Patnaik, Head of Communications at OPPO India, said the Find X10 series is coming in the coming weeks.

The Dimensity 9600M is expected on the standard OPPO Find X10 and vivo X500. MediaTek has not named those phones, saying only that the first 9600 Pro and 9600M devices should launch this quarter.
Dimensity 9600 Pro Specifications

The Dimensity 9600 Pro uses a 2+3+3 all-big-core CPU setup with two C2-Ultra cores clocked up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35GHz and three C2-Pro cores at 3.1GHz.
MediaTek claims 17% higher single-core performance, 15% higher multi-core performance and a 61% reduction in multi-core power use over the previous generation.
The GPU is the G2-Ultra NX. MediaTek claims 27% higher peak performance, 24% lower power use and 18% faster ray tracing, with support for up to 185fps.

The NPU 1090 works with a second-generation Super-Efficient NPU. It is rated for 51% higher LLM prefill performance and 55% higher token generation per watt, with support for models of up to 30 billion parameters.
Camera processing comes from the Imagiq 1290 ISP, which supports 4K 240fps ultra-slow-motion video, 4K 120fps cinematic Log recording and up to 17EV.
OPPO is also bringing its Laminar Flow Engine to the Find X10 series. Developed with MediaTek, it connects rendering with system scheduling to improve app launches and keep photo browsing stable.
Dimensity 9600M Specifications

The Dimensity 9600M keeps the Dimensity 9500’s 1+3+4 CPU layout on a 3nm process. It has one C1-Ultra core clocked up to 4.21GHz with 2MB of L2 cache, three C1-Premium cores and four C1-Pro cores. There is also 16MB of L3 cache and 10MB of system-level cache.
Graphics are handled by the Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. The chipset supports LPDDR5X memory at 10,667 MT/s and four-lane UFS 4.1 storage. The ISP supports sensors up to 320MP, 8K video at 60fps and 4K video at 120fps with EIS. It does not support 4K 240fps.
The 9600M also gets the Agentic AI Engine, Dimensity Scheduling Engine and HyperEngine from the Pro. HyperEngine supports gaming at up to 185fps. AI processing comes from the NPU 990, along with a smaller Compute-in-Memory NPU for always-on tasks.
Connectivity includes a Release 17 sub-6GHz modem with 5CC carrier aggregation at up to 7.4Gbps, Wi-Fi 7 at up to 7.3Gbps and Bluetooth 6.0.
OPPO has not announced a launch date for the Find X10 series in India yet. Goldee Patnaik said the series is coming in the coming weeks.
