OPPO F15 Details
Oppo has launched Oppo F15 as the successor of Oppo F11 in the mid of January 2020. It runs on Color OS 6 based on Android 9. This phone has a lot to offer that includes a full HD+ display, ample storage, good battery backup, and a decent camera but has a lackluster chipset steering the performance. Let’s analyze it and see if it can stand a chance against class-leading phones in the same price segment.
Display and Build
Oppo F15 has a 6.4-inches full HD AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch at the top and an optical fingerprint sensor underneath. It has a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels and 411 PPI, thus resulting in a sharp and clear viewing experience. The aspect ratio of the phone is 20:9, and with a screen-to-body ratio of 84.21% the screen is fairly immersive. Oppo F15 is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Oppo F15 has a fine built quality that includes a glass-like finish on a plastic panel. It is very slim and light measuring 7.9mm in thickness and weighing just 172gm. The back panel curves a bit on the side for better operating comfort but the glossy side makes it a bit slippery to hold.
Configuration and Camera
Oppo F15 is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio P70 chipset and runs on 8GB of RAM to assist you with a lag-free multitasking and gaming experience. It employs ARM Mali-G72 GPU to handle the graphics requirements. But if you’re expecting to run high-end graphics games on it, then it may disappoint.
Oppo F15 has a quad rear cam set up flaunting a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle-lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. On the front, you will find a 16MP selfie snapper.
Battery, Storage, and Connectivity
Oppo F15 features a 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Oppo claims that you can talk for 2 hours with only 5 minutes of charge and reach 50% with just 30 minutes of charge.
Oppo F15 has 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a micro-sd card.
Oppo F15 has all the usual set of connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth4.2, Widevine L1 certification, GPS, etc.
Closure
Oppo F15 has a powerful battery with blazing fast charging capacity and a beautiful quad-cam that assists you to click colorful and detailed pictures. But unfortunately, it lacks in performance as the Mediatek Helio P70 chip can’t quite match up to the existing competition.
Oppo is using a midrange chip from last year while its competitors are running on the latest Snapdragon chipset. On the other hand, Oppo F15 offers a versatile camera and superb battery performance. In case you are still looking, you may consider options like Realme X2, Redmi K20, Realme 5 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy M40 as well.
