Micromax has always presented itself as a brand with surprising abilities and the enthusiasm to give the smartphone world better and bigger. With a long journey so far, Micromax has already known what great success feels like. Right since its inception, Micromax has been a revealing brand with greater options to offer in low and medium budget smartphones. Earlier last year we saw a great joint effort by Micromax and YU to bring up a low budget LTE smartphone, Micromax Yu Yureka which was sold exclusively through flash sale.
Earlier in a post on our blog, we had reported about the second time unification of efforts by Micromax and Yu to launch the successor of Yureka. The new device was named by the fans through a Facebook campaign named “Yu Name It”, as a result of which the new creation jointly by Micromax and Yu was named as Yuphoria. More than 1,00,000 entries were received through the online campaign, out of which five were selected to make the final call from. And finally, Yuphoria it was. The successor to Yureka, Yuphoria has now got an official launch date. As per a tweet by Yu which said “The moment of YUphoria is coming. Have you blocked your calendar?”, Yuporia is to be launched on May 12.
Recently Micromax has launched quite a group of devices which include Micromax Canvas Juice 2 and Micromax Canvas Tab P480. Another great smartphone launched lately by Micromax is the all new Micromax Canvas Spark which features a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. Yu Yuphoria launch was officially hinted by Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder of Micromax Yu Televenture during the launch of Micromax Laptab, where he quoted that Yuphoria launch could be made happening on May 0 or May 11.
