Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is all set to drop a new gaming phone, Redmi K60 Gaming Edition, for the masses. The C mentioned in the model number represents Chinse variant. This could mean that the smartphone will reach the Indian market under a different name.

Though the latest leak regarding the device has not provided any details related to its specifications and features. Previous rumours have it that the smartphone will work on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. As for the launch timeline, the handset could hit the floors by the first half of 2023. The report further suggests that the device has a codename, Socrates, as of now.

Redmi K60 Gaming Edition details

First things first, it is being said that the Xiaomi Redmi K60 Gaming Edition will be exclusively available in China and will not make a debut in other markets. Talking about the processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will be introduced by Qualcomm in November 2022. If rumours are to be believed, the processor will come with a 10-core CPU setup. However, these rumours have been quashed as the chipset has an 8-core setup. It can reach a maximum speed of 3.0GHz.

Other specifications of the smartphone are still under wraps including display, camera, design, and more.
