The tentative successor to Xiaomi’s breakthrough Mi Mix smartphone, dubbed as the Mi Max 2, is once again in the news, this time because of some 360-degree renders of the phone, that leaked on Chinese microblogging site, Weibo.

There are two videos that are currently doing the rounds on the Internet, claiming to show the Mi Mix second generation in full glory and detail.

By what we can make out, the successor seems to have taking forward from where the original Mi Mix (near perfect screen to body ratio, that is) and bears a lot of resemblance to it.

While the previous one had a self-proclaimed ratio of 91.3% (in reality it turned to be much less, though), the newer one is expected to even top that claim, with an estimated 93% screen to body measurements.

Apart from the change in screen proportions, we can notice a few other changes as well.

One of these is the inclusion of a dual camera unit on the back, something which was not there in the original version of the Mi Mix.

Another change is the relatively (even) smaller bezels, quite obviously to accommodate more of the screen and involves doing away with just the tiniest bit of bezel at the bottom.

There are also talks of the phone featuring a smaller screen (maybe around 5.7-inches) as compared to the huge one that the current version sports (6.4-inches, is it?).

However, keeping in tandem with its projection of being a successor the Mi Mix, some things appear to have been retained.

These include the bone-conduction technology, that allows the company to make do without the presence of a dedicated speaker hole, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, that is there on the original one, too.

Well, for now, these are just conceptualizations, so we suggest you take them with a pinch of salt until Xiaomi decides to let us in on something.
