Xiaomi Mi 9 To Launch On February 20; Specs and Images Leak online

Xiaomi has scheduled an event on February 20 where it will launch its next flagship, the Mi 9. Yesterday we had reported the TENNA approval and, a while back, the device allegedly received 3C certification.

From its official Weibo account, Xiaomi posted an invitation to this phone, saying “an urgent announcement regarding the Mi 9”. There is no specific information available through invoice but information about the launch and time is received.

Mi 9 could be Xiaomi’s stallion for 2019 with its might and charm. It is very much clear that the Snapdragon 855 chipset could be powering the device. It could also come with 5G support as its the impending tech storm. We had also shared an image showcasing the purported triple camera setup.

You could be presented upfront with a water-drop notch atop a 6.4-inch FHD + AMOLED display matching the latest design trends.

As for the optics department, the leaks hint at a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor paired with a 12-megapixel secondary sensor and a 3D ToF sensor. The notched facade could house a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor.

Another leak revealed the Geekbench listing of Cepheus which is rumored to be the same handset. Speculations point at 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. It is likely to showcase MIUI as the skin on Android 9.0 Pie.

Other things cover an in-display fingerprint sensor, 3,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS etc.
