Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 5 Plus Expected Soon

Xiaomi is a Chinese smartphone brand that has offered some really great smartphones by now. Recently we had Xiaomi Mi 4 going off the rails and surprising everyone to give a really tough competition to OnePlus One. And then there was a cheaper variant of Mi 4, which was named Mi 4i and has been already mentioned about on our blog. Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with an octa core processor and is priced at INR 12,999. Xiaomi Mi 4i runs on Android Lollipop.

As per the rumors surfacing out, Xioami is all set to show off its next flagship smartphone, Mi 5. Not only this, the next flasgship, Xioami Mi 5 is to come with an elder sibling, Mi 5 Pus, which will fall under the phablet segment. The latest leak about this headline has been generated from Chinese social media website, Weibo. As per the leaks, Mi 5 Plus will feature a bezel less edge to edge 6 inch quad HD display, which will be the first ever smartphone to possess such a high end display with a screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.

To add to the leaked specifications of the new flagship smartphone, it will pack 4 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of internal storage space, and a 16 MP auto focus primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and LED flash. Speaking of Mi 5, it is expected to boast a 5.2 inch screen and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset paired up with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM a 16 MP of rear facing camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) alongside LED flash. A 3000 mAh battery is said to supply the current needs of the smartphone.
