Vivo has rolled out block the date invites for a May 29 launch event in India. The invite doesn’t really reveal much apart from brandishing a full size ‘X’  which most probably alludes to Vivo’s ‘X series’.

Recently Vivo launched the X21 in Singapore and its the same phone that we expect to be launched in India in last week of May. It is worth mentioning that the Vivo X21 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. If this turns out to be correct, the Vivo X21 will be the first under display fingerprint sensor phone in India.

Vivo first announced X21 back in March 2018 in China where it was launched in two versions: one with an in-display sensor and one with a rear-mounted capacitive fingerprint reader. After China, Singapore was the next market to receive Vivo X21 where it went on sale on May 5.

Vivo X21 Features

Other than an in-display fingerprint, the Vivo X21 seems to be a competent device on paper. Vivo is offering the X21 with 6.8 inches FHD+ display that comes with 19:9 aspect ratio (or a notch).

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 mobile processor drives the Chinese and Singapore versions of the phone and that should be true for India as well. If that’s the case, the Vivo X21 will be top in the list to receive Android P update as the SD 660 is already Android P ready.

The X21 could feature 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. On optics front, the smartphone is packed with 12 MP + 5 MP sensor at the back and a 12MP selfie camera on the front.
