Vivo has announced its first-ever in-display fingerprint sensor phone, the Vivo X21, in India. The phone features the fingerprint sensor on the front, underneath the display, and you can unlock the device by tapping on the screen. In fact, the Vivo X21 is the first ever commercial phone to use such technology.
Talking about the Vivo X21 specifications, the handset features a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ (2280X1080) display with 19:9 aspect ration and visibly thin bezels at the bottom. The screen also has a little notch on top that houses the front camera, earpiece and proximity sensor.
The Vivo X21 is powered by 2.2Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. With hybrid-SIM slot, you can expand the phone's storage to up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the phone features a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor sporting f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 12-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, IR fill light, and 3D mapping.
The Vivo X21 runs on Android Oreo-based Funtouch OS and packs a 3200mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the phone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB.
