Vivo X Fold S appears on Geekbench: Key specs revealed

Vivo is prepping up to introduce a new foldable smartphone in its home country China. The smartphone will be most probably named Vivo X Fold S. The smartphone has made its appearance on 3C and Geekbench certifications. In the listing, the key specifications of the smartphone like RAM, OS, charging capacity, SoC, and others. The handset is going to be an upgraded version of the Vivo X Fold that was launched the same year.

The Vivo X Fold S carries model number V2229A on the Geekbench. The device scored around 1319 in the single-core tests and around 4045 in the multi-core tests. Though there is no information regarding the design and display of the smartphone. Here, we will discuss the leaked specifications of the device.

Vivo X Fold expected specifications

The Vivo X Fold will have a 2K inner display based on LTPO coupled with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The handset will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor that will put it in direct competition with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The smartphone will have around 12GB of RAM in the base variant along with 256GB of internal storage. It will most probably operate on the Android 12 operating system.

In terms of optics, the smartphone might flaunt a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP telephoto shooter. The device will also have an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for security purposes.

The 3C certification of the smartphone suggested that the smartphone will ship with 80W super fast charging. Another report said that the smartphone will come with a 4700mAh battery. It may also support 50W wireless charging alongside the wired one. The smartphone will have a leather finish along with a strong hinge and build.

The Vivo X Fold S will have a face-off against the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Both devices run on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It will be interesting to see who outclasses whom in terms of camera, display, performance, etc.
