vivo has officially teased the vivo S20 and S20 Pro on its China website, with pre-orders already open. The launch is expected soon, and based on previous patterns, the S20 series could arrive in India as the V50 series, potentially with some upgrades. The design remains similar to the vivo S19 series, which was rebranded as the V40 series in India.
According to previous leaks, the vivo S20 is a slim device at 7.19 mm thickness and will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It’ll feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260 x 2800. The battery would be a large 6,500 mAh cell with support for 90W fast charging.
The camera setup would include a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP selfie camera. While this setup closely mirrors the vivo S19, some changes are expected for the Indian V50 variant.

The vivo S20 Pro appears to be the more significant upgrade. According to Digital Chat Station, it’ll feature a 6.67-inch LTPS OLED display with a micro quad-curved design, making it slightly different from the S20’s dual-curve approach. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset.
It’ll boast a triple rear camera setup: a 50 MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP 3x periscope telephoto camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor, also seen in the vivo X200 and X200 Pro mini. The battery is slightly smaller at 5,500 mAh but supports 90W fast charging.
The vivo S20 is a modest upgrade, while the S20 Pro seems like a good step forward, especially with its new 3x camera system and premium design. Both devices are expected to launch soon in China, with Indian V50 series rebranding likely to follow.
