TL; DR
  • The TVS iQube S is back after a brief discontinuation, now with a 4.7 kWh battery.
  • It claims a 175km IDC range and charges from 0–80% in four hours.
  • Priced at ₹1.37 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, it sits between the base iQube and iQube ST.

It was not long ago that the TVS iQube disappeared from the company’s official website, forcing people to believe that the scooter had been discontinued. Turns out, TVS had other plans, and better ones no less.

The iQube S is back, and it has returned with a substantially larger battery, longer range, and a couple of fresh color options. The electric scooter is on sale right now. Here’s everything you need to know about it, including its price, availability, and key specifications and features.

TVS iQube S 4.7 kWh: Pricing & Availability

The TVS iQube S currently costs ₹1.37 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi, inclusive of subsidies), which places the e-scooter in the middle of a three-tier iQube lineup. It sits above the base iQube (with 2.2 kWh, 3.1 kWh, and 3.5 kWh battery options) and the iQube ST, which features a 5.3 kWh battery pack.

You can get the iQube S in three colors: Titanium Grey Matte, Magnificence Purple Beige, and Harlequin Blue Beige.

TVS iQube S 4.7 kWh: Key Features & Specifications

The most defining change, according to me, is the battery. The new iQube S replaces the outgoing 3.5 kWh battery pack with a larger 4.7 kWh unit, which translates to a claimed IDC range of 175 kilometers on a full charge.

Charging takes around four hours from zero to 80%, which is faster than the base iQube with smaller batteries, but a complete charge (to 100%) will take longer. Despite the improvement in the battery pack, the motor stays where it was, with its peak output rated at 4.4 kW, top speed of 82 kmph, and 0-40 kmph sprint in 4.3 seconds.

Beyond the powertrain, the iQube S comes with the company’s SmartXonnect connectivity suite, which provides smartphone connectivity for offering turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, ride statistics (including the range driven and the battery consumed), and anti-theft notifications.

Under the seat, there’s 32L of boot space, a practically generous number that can easily house a full-size helmet. You also get a Distance-to-Empty readout on the instrument cluster, which, in my opinion, is a genuinely useful addition.

Offering 175km of claimed range at ₹1.37 lakhs, including the subsidies, puts the iQube S in a compelling spot against the popular rivals like the Bejaj Chetak and Honda Activa e, especially for buyers who want more range on a single charge or don’t want to charge their e-scooter every fourth or fifth day.
