Coolpad’s latest offering the Cool Play 6 is all set to intensify the battle. With 6GB RAM under the hood, it has become world’s cheapest phone with 6GB RAM. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 653 chipset which is made using 28nm fabrication process where top four A-72 cores are clocked at 1.95 GHz while remaining four A-53 cores are clocked at 1.8GHz.

The gaming performance wise, the Cool Play 6 is right on the top in gaming phones under Rs.15,000. We registered no lag or no frame drops while playing games such as Asphalt 8, Nova 2, Modern Combat 5.

Redmi Note 4

One of the most popular handsets to have come out this year is the Xioami Note 4 (review). It houses a trustworthy chipset, the Snapdragon 625, along with Adreno 506 GPU – a combination that is powerful yet power-efficient.

Top variant of the Redmi Note 4 (cover and cases) comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which certainly proves beneficial while playing games. It manages to hold itself in good shape even when we threw straining games such as Asphalt 8, Fifa 17, Nova 3, Modern Combat 5 at it.

Lenovo Vibe K8 Note

The Lenovo K8 Note (faq) was one of the smartphones that took us by surprise.The combination of Helio X23, Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and 4GB RAM works well and can handle intense graphical needs. We tested Asphalt 8, Nova 2, and Dead Trigger on K8 Note (covers and cases) and it manages to handle all with a fair amount of ease. However, phone’s temperature went up when we tried playing games on highest settings.

Lenovo P2 also managed to make the cut for the list of best gaming phones under Rs. 15,000, courtesy Snapdragon 625 chipset, Adreno 506 and 4GB RAM. The phone remained calm and composed when we tried to push it to its limits. There hardly was any lag or jitters while testing heavy games with highest settings on. The 5100mAh battery also comes handy as you don’t have to run to charging point after every couple of gaming sessions.

Moto G5 Plus

The Moto G5 Plus (review) has been a real star for its maker. The phone performance doesn’t get enough mention but it packs hardware which is at par with Bahubalis in this budget. It enthrals a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 which is mated to Andreno 506 SoC and 4GB RAM for all the powerlifting.

The Moto G5 Plus (cover and cases) manages to score decently well in our gaming test. There is no noticeable lag during gameplay and in ideal condition temperature of the phone remained under control.

Coolpad Cool 1 Dual

The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual (review) has received a price cut which makes a viable option for budget gamers. For a consistent performance, it rocks a Snapdragon 652 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It holds well during that heavy tasks such as gaming and multitasking. The dual rear cameras work well and are another reason why you should consider this budget smartphone.
