Lenovo P2

A new smartphone from the Chinese giant Lenovo has been spotted on a benchmark website (Geekbench) which can possibly be the new Lenovo Vibe P2. Well, only to inform you, not all handsets that undergo benchmark tests get officially released. Despite this fact, I'll personally keep my fingers crossed for this one. Based on the specifications, the alleged Lenovo Vibe P2 seems to be a mid-range smartphone. It possesses a handful of changes compared to Vibe P1 and P1 Turbo. Precisely saying, it employs snapdragon 625 SoC in its latest iteration over the formerly used Snapdragon 615 chipset. The chipset is allegedly teamed up with 4GB RAM, Adreno 506 GPU, and 64GB of onboard multimedia storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The handset is powered by a huge 5,000 mAh battery which can potentially be a prime reason to opt for this handset. Piling on to the features, it flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080 p) AMOLED display layered by a 2.5D curved glass on top. On the optics front, the Lenovo Vibe P2 possibly sports a 13 MP resolution (f/2.2 aperture) rear shooter aided with dual tone LED flash. The rear camera avails itself of a Sony IMX230 sensor. On the front side, it uses a 5 MP resolution (f/2.0 aperture) as Selfie snapper. Lenovo Vibe P2 runs Vibe UI on top of Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) out-of-the-box. The handset supports dual SIM cards (Nano + Nano). Other basic features and connectivity options include 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, NFC, IR Blaster, TheatreMax, and a fingerprint sensor. The expected price of Lenovo Vibe P2 in India is around 20,000 INR, which according to me is marginally overpriced. The handset will probably hit the global market by the end of this year.
