Timex Fitness Band with color display, heart rate tracking launched in India at Rs. 4,495

Timex group has launched a new smart band in the country that ticks the basics of a fitness wearable. The feature set includes a color frontier, a bunch of activity trackers, heart rate monitoring, and water resistance.

Timex Fitness Band Highlights

Timex provides a 0.96-inch colored touch display upfront with 160×80 pixel resolution. The case can be attached to two straps — one made of stainless steel and the other with black silicone. By default, it comes with the steel mesh strap.

Inside, the fitness features comprise things like step counting, activity trackers, heart rate counting, calorie counter, music control, real-time call, and SMS notifications. You even get water resistance up to 1.5 meters. So, you can wear it during sweaty gym sessions, or outdoors during light rain or drizzle.

Timex claims 5 days of battery life on a single charge. And when it dies on you, you can use the bundled magnetic adapter to charge the thing.

On the new launch, Timex group said, “This fitness band is the latest example where we are pushing the boundaries of innovation and providing Indian consumers the opportunity to own high-quality band which they can wear anytime- whether it is a formal get-together, a business meeting, or any outdoor activity,” said Ajay Dhyani, Head- Marketing and E-Commerce.
