Sony Xperia 1 V Launch: Here’s all that we know about the upcoming smartphone

Sony Xperia is back. Yes, you heard it right Sony is all set to launch Sony Xperia 1 V globally as well as in India. The smartphone with a boxy yet elegant design is expected to get even better in terms of features.

The 2023 Sony Xperia range will launch in May 2023 right after Google I/O which is happening on May 10.

Sony Xperia 1 V: When & How to watch

The Sony Xperia 1 V will launch on the 11th of May 2023. The time of launch is 1 PM Japan Standard Time, which means in India, it will launch at 9:30 AM. The event will be livestreaming on Sony’s social media handles.

Sony Xperia 1 V: Expected features

The Sony Xperia 1 V is expected to flaunt a 6.5-inch flat 4K OLED HDR display with 120Hz refresh rate and draw power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It will have 16GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.

The smartphone is said to feature a triple camera setup at the back including a 48MP wide-angle sensor, and two 12MP sensors. At the front will be a 12MP sensor as well. The Sony Xperia 1 V will reportedly pack a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 33W fast charging capability.

Based on the renders of the Sony Xperia 1 V it will still maintain its signature features, including a headphone jack, camera shutter button, and a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.

Sony Xperia 1 V: Expected India Price

The Sony Xperia 1 V is expected to be priced at Rs. 1,27,690 in India. This will make it one of the highest-priced smartphones in the market.
