0

Samsung is prepping up to launch a new smartphone in its Galaxy On-Series, at least that’s what teaser on Amazon India suggest. The teaser page doesn’t reveal much information regarding the device, but, when we hit Notify Me button and checked our subscribed notification, the upcoming device is mentioned as “Samsung Game On”.

The name might be tentative one. We will know for sure only when the phone goes official. Teaser images, however, do give us a rough idea of what to expect from this upcoming Samsung phone.

What’s to expect from ‘Samsung Game On’ phone?

18:9 Display with 2.5D glass

If you look teaser closely, it appears as if the phone boasts a trendy 18:9 display with is layered with 2.5D glass and narrow bezels. Samsung also teasing with a catchy line “On for a Stunning New Look?” suggesting it will be different from existing On-series phones.

Bixby Vision

Samsung’s Bixby Assitant has been limited to its S-series and recently launched A-series phones but the new teaser hints that the company is now open to bringing it to more affordable phones.

The Bixby Vision is a Google Lens like OCR tool that can be used to search for objects around you by simply clicking their image. It’s still work in progress though and perhaps Samsung believes more people using it would help it gather more data to speed up the development process.

Loudspeaker On The Sides

Like most of its 2017 J-series mobile phones, Samsung is once again going for a side mounted mono speaker which will be placed on the right edge close to the top corner.

Better Chipset

Samsung is teasing a faster processor as well, perhaps to justify the ‘Game’ moniker. The smartphone is expected to come with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

Samsung Pay or Pay Mini

Samsung will likely bring one or the other version of Samsung Pay in this affordable phone, just as was the case on last year’s Galaxy J7 Max and J7 Pro.

This new digital payment service from Samsung allows users to make payment at PoS terminals (NFC supported and traditional both) just by using the phone without using a physical card.

Samsung Game On Availability

We will get to know more details and specifications about this upcoming Galaxy On series smartphone from Samsung after it official launch which is expected to take place next week. It will, of course, retail exclusively on Amazon.in and thus the pricing should be aggressive.
