As we are inching closer to the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 launch, there’s an influx of information about Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G coming from every direction. The latest coming from tipster Ahmed Qwaider gives an update on an improved charging mechanism for faster charging and better protection on the display. Let’s see what the latest buzz is about.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G to bring better screen protection

According to the latest update from tipster Ahmed Qwaider, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G is slated to get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for the cover display and the rear panel. This is an added protection over the last-gen Z Fold3 5G’s Gorilla Glass Victus. Note that this is for the cover or secondary display whereas the outer or primary display is set to get Super UTG film onboard with a new hinge mechanism reportedly built to bring down creases on the screen.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G to bring onboard better charging

With the current setup of 25W fast charging tech and 4,270mAh battery onboard Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, it takes the battery from zero to 33% in an hour. Although, Galaxy Z Fold4 5G isn’t going to get a higher charging speed or bigger battery, the South Korean giant is repeatedly improving its charging curve to better it. It will reportedly push the charging from zero to 50% in an hour which is almost 35-40% higher than the previous gen.

We have some information about the camera tech as well albeit take it with a pinch of salt. The primary cam at the back will be upgraded from 12MP to 50MP as per the rumors. The telephoto snapper is likely to see a hike to 3x optical zoom instead of a 2x zoom on last-gen Fold3. For other sensors i.e., 4MP cover and 16MP front, they are likely to remain same although we are yet to carved it on a stone so there’s a room.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G will surely pack in a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC alongside Galaxy Z Flip4 5G.
