The major different between the two phones is the screen size – the Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy s8+ has a 6.2-inch screen. Samsung has done away with the flat display variants and both of these new phones have the dual curved edges to the display. The Galaxy S8 duo screen shares same resolution of 2960×1440 and come with curved Super AMOLED Infinity display.
Samsung’s this new Infinity display appear out of shape due to its ultra-wide aspect ratio of 18:5:9 instead of the standard 16:9.

Unlike, the Galaxy S7 there is no physical home button on the phone. For these two new phones Samsung’s switched to a pressure sensitive display arrangement for the home button and customisable on-screen navigation buttons. The Samsung Galaxy S8  is water and dust resistant and also supports wireless charging.
Samsung continues to keep Qualcomm Snapdragon variant exclusive to very few nations.  In India, the Galaxy S8 duos are powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 chipset developed by using 10nm processor. Both of them comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung’s revamped TouchWiz UI.
What sets both phones apart (other than screen size) is the battery size. The Galaxy S8 gets a 3,000mAh battery whereas the Galaxy S8+ offers a 3,500mAh battery.

The  Galaxy S8 gets its own Bixby – a smart AI assistant. It has a dedicated key on the left edge of the phone. The company claims that it can perform various task,  from making calls to recommending restaurants nearby to changing the device’s settings.
Samsung’s  had a tough second half of 2016 with Galaxy Note 7 as its exploding battery become an embarrassment for the company. The S8/S8+ is expected to pull it back on track.
