Sony Extra Bass Headphones and Wireless Speaker Series Launched Starting Rs. 2,790 Onwards

Sony has strengthen its ‘Extra Bass’ lineup in India with the launch of four new wireless speakers, and a pairs of headphones and an earphones. The wireless speakers includes Sony SRS-XB40, SRS-XB30, SRS-XB20 and SRS-XB10. These speakers goes on sale starting April 25. The Extra Bass Series headphones features the MDR-XB950B1, MDR-XB550AP, and MDR-XB510AS which will be available from April 20 across all Sony Center and major electronic stores in the country.

The MDR-XB950B1 basically a successor of MDR- XB950BT which now comes with enhanced bass response and support for Bluetooth audio streaming. The headphones is also supported by Near Field Communications (NFC) technology and aptX for maximum signal quality.  The new headphone features a rechargeable battery that can last up to 18 hours while streaming music continuously.

For times when the battery runs out of juice, Sony has bundled a cable that can be plugged in to connect with devices via 3.5mm jack. The headphone has an integrated mic, that also works on Bluetooth supports hands-free calling.

The next one is the XB550AP headphones that lack wireless playback. It comes with 30mm drivers and a 1.2-metre long cable. The headphone also has an in-line remote and microphone through which user can control music playback and answer calls. As per the company, the cable is designed to offer a tangle-free experience. The last in the headphone list is an in-ear sports headphone – the Sony MDR-XB510AS which comes with IP5X/ IPX7 rating for dust and water resistance. The headphones come with four different sets of earbuds, arc supporters, a clip, cord adjuster, and mesh carrying pouch.

Sony’s entire new range of ‘Extra Bass’ portable wireless speakers boasts one-touch connectivity and music streaming with NFC and Bluetooth compatibility. The new range offers long battery life and is ideal for both indoors or outdoors usage, as per the company. The entire range of wireless speaker comes with IPX5 splash proof certification. The company has priced Sony SRS-XB40, SRS-XB30, SRS-XB20 and SRS-XB10 at Rs 13,990, Rs 9,990, Rs 6,990, Rs 3,590 respectively.
