Samsung has officially launched its most powerful tablet line-up – the Galaxy Tab S8 series, in India on February 21. The latest Samsung tablets come with Snapdragon 8th-Gen chipset, premium build, intuitive and seamless OneUI integration with Android and Samsung ecosystem, and more.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Specs

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is on top of the chain offering a ginormous 14.6” Super AMOLED 120Hz variable refresh rate and the thinnest bezels ever on Tab S-series tablet. The device uses an Armor Aluminum frame that improves resistance against bending and is 30% more scratch-resistant. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the display from scratches and shattering.

There’s a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC fabricated on a 4nm node under the hood clocked at a whopping 3.00GHz. It is paired with an Adreno 730 GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device uses Android 12 with OneUI 4.1 on top as its software.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra sports a dual 13+6MP ultrawide snapper with HDR and 4K capability along with a 12MP+12MP ultrawide snapper at the front. There’s a 4-piece stereo speaker system, an under-the-display FPS, ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, among others. Finally, the Galaxy S8 Ultra uses an 11,200 mAh battery with 45W fast charging tech under the hood.

There’s an S Pen support onboard where Samsung has improved its latency thanks to a prediction algorithm that works incredibly fast without any hassle. Samsung DeX opens up a new frontier for desktop users as they can experience using their tablets on the desktop as well. Samsung has integrated the trio with Samsung Knox Vault which keeps all the user data encrypted and out of reach of any prying eyes.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8/S8+ Specs

Galaxy S8 uses an 11” TFT 120Hz panel with 1600×2560 pixels resolution while the Galaxy Tab S8+ uses a 12.4” Super AMOLED 120Hz HDR10+ panel with 1752×2800 pixels resolution. There’s a distinction in terms of battery as well since Galaxy Tab S8 has an 8,000 mAh battery while Tab S8+ uses a 10,090 mAh battery under the hood while both have a 45W fast charging support.

Both Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ have identical specs including the same SoC as the Tab S8 Ultra, camera setup (both front and back), connectivity features, and more. This includes a 13+6MP dual rear and instead of two, both Tab S8/S8+ uses a single 12MP ultrawide snapper at the front. There’s up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage with microSD card support, 4K video recording, GPS, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C 3.2 port among others. There’s a magnetic connector at the back on the trio to keep S Pen handy.
