Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series is still months away, but a new report from GalaxyClub has revealed the battery capacities of the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra.
According to the publication, the Galaxy S27 Pro will carry a 5,087 mAh rated battery, which Samsung is expected to advertise as 5,200 mAh typical.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra, meanwhile, is tipped to feature a 5,534 mAh rated battery. Based on Samsung’s typical marketing, that would translate to a 5,700 mAh typical capacity, although some reports suggest the company could market it as 5,800 mAh.
If accurate, it would mark the first significant battery increase for Samsung’s Ultra lineup since the Galaxy S20 Ultra introduced the 5,000 mAh battery.

Silicon-Carbon Batteries Could Make the Upgrade Possible
The report also claims both devices will use silicon-carbon battery technology. Samsung introduced silicon-carbon batteries with the Galaxy Z Fold8 series earlier this week. Compared to conventional graphite batteries, silicon-carbon cells offer higher energy density, allowing manufacturers to increase battery capacity without making devices thicker.
If Samsung adopts the same technology for the Galaxy S27 series, it would explain how the company is increasing battery capacity while maintaining a similar form factor.

The latest report has also received support from well-known Samsung tipster Ice Universe. According to the tipster, GalaxyClub has a reliable history of accurately leaking Samsung battery capacities. Ice Universe reiterated the same figures of 5,087 mAh for the Galaxy S27 Pro and 5,534 mAh for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, adding further credibility to the report.
Interestingly, this comes just weeks after Ice Universe dismissed another leak claiming the Galaxy S27 Ultra would feature a battery between 5,600mAh and 5,800mAh, citing concerns over its reliability. His latest comments suggest he considers GalaxyClub’s information to be more credible.

Bigger Batteries as Competition Heats Up
Battery capacity has become an increasingly competitive area in the flagship smartphone market. Several Chinese smartphone brands now offer flagship devices with batteries exceeding 6,000 mAh, while reports suggest Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max could also receive a battery of around 5,500 mAh.
If Samsung launches the Galaxy S27 Ultra with a marketed capacity of 5,700 mAh or 5,800 mAh, it would be the company’s biggest battery upgrade in years and narrow the gap with rivals that have already adopted higher-capacity silicon-carbon batteries.
Samsung has not officially confirmed any details about the Galaxy S27 series, and the battery capacities are based entirely on leaks. Battery information for the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ has yet to surface.
