Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G Goes Official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC & Galaxy AI Features

South Korea-based tech giant Samsung has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series of smartphones globally. The flagship series includes 3 smartphones- Samsung Galaxy S24 5G, Samsung Galaxy S24+ 5G, and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G. The devices not only promise top-notch design and features but are also loaded with Samsung Galaxy AI capabilities (click here to know more). The top-end Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is different from the other two members of the S24 family in several ways. It has a titanium build and comes with Galaxy S-Pen support.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Price & Availability

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes in the following storage models-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- Rs. 1,29,999
  • 12GB RAM+512GB storage-Rs. 1,39,999
  • 12GB RAM+1TB storage- Rs. 1,59,999

Samsung is offering a discount of flat 5000 INR for HDFC Bank card users along with up to Rs. 12,000 exchange bonus on existing smartphones. There will be No-cost EMI plans via Samsung Finance and free storage upgrade from 256GB to 1TB which means the effective price of the 512GB model is Rs. 1,17,999. Samsung has also confirmed that the smartphones will be made in India as they will be manufactured at the Noida factory. Pre-orders are now live in India.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Design & Features

Following the lead of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Series, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a titanium alloy in its frame to make it lighter. It comes in Titanium Black, Titanium Violet, Titanium Gray, and Titanium Yellow colors. Additional colors available online will be Graphite, Sky Blue, Lime, and Red. The smartphone measures 79 X 162.3 X 8.6mm and weighs 233g.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED 2X QHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440×3088 pixel resolution, and 2600 nits maximum brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Armour made for Galaxy S24. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset across the world with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It is IP68 rated for being protected against water.

The device runs One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 and comes with features like on-demand Live Translate, Dynamic Lock, and Smart Keyboard. This time Samsung has promised 7 years of software and OS updates for the Galaxy S24 series which means the device will receive updates till Android 21. It supports S-Pen and features a quad-camera setup at the back. The camera setup includes a 200MP main lens, a 10MP 3x zoom sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a new 5x 50MP periscope sensor. Nightography allows clicking good photos in the lowest light. The camera setup has been designed to suit the social media generation’s needs. Samsung has worked with Instagram as well to enable HDR for Instagram photos. At the front is a 12MP selfie snapper.

Under the hood is a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging capability. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra also comes with emergency texting via satellite support over 3GPP standard. However, it will be available in select markets. Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with Quick Share which is a single share solution across all Android devices seamlessly.
