Last month, Samsung launched the flagship Galaxy S24 Series globally on 17th January 2024. At the end of the event, Samsung snuck in a sneak peek at its next innovation Samsung Galaxy Ring that would be making its way next. While the brand did not reveal any more information about the upcoming wearable, various reports have confirmed what the Galaxy Ring would entail ever since.

Some latest reports also give a hint about the launch timeline of the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Dive in to learn more about the device.

Samsung Galaxy Ring: Launch Timeline

ET News claims that the Galaxy Ring will be announced during the July Unpacked Event of the brand. The event will take place in the second half of July and might also see the next generation of foldables, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.

This July launch claim falls in tandem with a Samsung executive’s claim on LinkedIn.

Samsung Galaxy Ring: Expected Features

The report also claims that the Galaxy Ring will come with an ECG monitor and blood flow measurement. The smart ring is also expected to support wireless payments and allow you to control AIoT devices in your home or office. ET News says that the ring might come in eight sizes and is currently in the prototype production stage with full-scale mass production happening in Q2 2024.

A few days ago, Sam Mobile also reported about the Galaxy Ring. The report from Sam Mobile cites reliable analyst Avi Greengart who says he has hands-on experience with the prototype of Galaxy Ring. In a post on Threads, the tech analyst claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Ring is an incredibly lightweight wearable and will come in multiple sizes up to 13 (22.2mm). He also said that the Galaxy Ring is said to be launched in three different finishes.

The Ring will come with various sensors to track health parameters and record physical activity. Samsung has called it a “powerful and accessible health and wellness device” at the event. The wearable is expected to arrive with a 24×7 heart rate monitor, SpO2 monitor, sleep tracking, and other tracking capabilities. Wearable will reportedly integrate with the Samsung Health app and have a companion app to sync data. The ring is said to be compatible with Galaxy Watch as well as Galaxy smartphones and the pogo pins slot inside will facilitate its charging.

Samsung Galaxy Ring: Expected Price

While there have been no hints about the price of the Galaxy Ring, since its competitor Oura Ring is priced at 299 USD (Rs. 25,000 approx.) in the US, and the Noise Luna Ring costs Rs. 19,999 in India, the Galaxy Ring might cost along similar lines.
