Samsung Galaxy M02 with 5000mAh Battery launched at INR 6,999

Samsung unveiled the entry-grade Galaxy M02 in India on February 2. The new M02 is primarily distinguished by a beefy 5000mAh battery. Other highlights include an HD+ display, dual rear cameras, and a MediaTek chipset.

Samsung Galaxy M02 follows close on the heels of Galaxy M02s and both of these devices are successors to the very popular Galaxy M01 from last year. 

Samsung Galaxy M02 Features

The Galaxy M02 has a 6.5-inch HD+ waterdrop notch Infinity V-display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. The screen of the phone is surrounded by thick bezels. The back panel gets a polycarbonate body with a texture for a comfortable grip.

For the optics, Samsung Galaxy M02 boasts of a dual rear camera setup including a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The camera is arranged in a vertical fashion with an LED flashlight. For selfies and video calling, M02 houses a 5MP snapper in the notch display. 

Galaxy M02 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6739W chipset clocked at 1.5GHz. It has 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable up to 1TB via microSD slot. The M02 runs One UI software based on the Android 10 operating system.

Samsung Galaxy M02 Price and Availability

Samsung has set the starting price of Galaxy M02 at INR 6,999 in India. The phone will be available from February 9 on Samsung.com, Amazon, and major leading offline stores. There will be four color options to choose from – blue, red, gray, and black.
