Samsung unveils Galaxy M01s – another entry-level phone in India

Samsung has quietly launched another entry-level smartphone Galaxy M01s in India on July 16. The new phone is the successor of Galaxy M01 which was previously launched on June 2. Galaxy M01s comes with an entry grade chipset and a few additional features. Let’s sink into details.

Samsung Galaxy M01s Features

The Samsung Galaxy M01s boasts of a bigger 6.2-inch PLS TFT LCD display compared to the 5.71-inch Galaxy M01. The panel of M01s has an HD+ 720×1520 resolution and there is an 8MP front camera installed in the waterdrop notch. The rear camera arrangement remains the same that comprises of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The video recording resolution is FHD 1080 @30fps.

The Galaxy M01s is powered by a modest MediaTek Helio P22 processor unlike that of Snapdragon 439 from Galaxy M01. The phone comes in a single variant of 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, extendable up to 512GB using MicroSD card. Galaxy M01s runs on One UI Core 1.1 based on Android Pie.

Under the hood, Galaxy M01s sports a 4000mAh battery. Samsung is offering both- face unlock and fingerprint sensors for the secure unlocking. As for connectivity, it has dual 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth v4.2, micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy M01s Price and Availability

Samsung has set the price of Galaxy M01s at Rs 9,999 for its single 3GB RAM variant. The phone ships in Gray and Light Blue colors. The company has not yet revealed the date for its sale while it will be available on Samsung’s official online and offline stores and at all major online and ofline retailers as well.
