Samsung has silently unveiled an entry-level smartphone Galaxy J2 Core 2020 in India on April 28. The phone is an upgraded version of Samsung Galaxy J2 Core which was launched back in 2018. Major specifications are similar to the previous version with a few differences. The company has listed the device on the Indian official website for sale.
Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020 Feature
The J2 Core 2020 features a 5.0-inch TFT display with 540 x 960 pixels screen resolution and large bezels. The new version has got the same gorilla glass protection as the 2018 model. To power the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020, manufacturers have employed 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor. The phone has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage while the 2018 model features only 8GB ROM. There is a dedicated microSD slot in the device extendable up to 256GB. Also, a smart manager is provided which enables users to move apps and contents to an external SD Card.

The rear camera of Galaxy J2 Core 2020 packs an 8MP auto-focus sensor and is aided by an LED flash. For the selfie shots and video calls, it has a 5MP front camera. The smartphone is capable of recording videos with resolution up to 1080p@30fps.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020 houses a 2600mAh removable battery which in fact is an old trend. However, Samsung claims up to 22 hours of call time and 14 hours for internet usage. The device will run on the Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition operating system and is said to be optimized to work with 1GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020 Price and Availability
Samsung has set the cost for the new Galaxy J2 Core 2020 at Rs 6,299 which makes it the lowest priced in India portfolio. There are three color options for consumers- Blue, Black, and Gold. The phones are open for sale on the official Samsung’s website but the delivery will not be possible until the national lockdown ends.
