The predecessor of the Pixel Buds 2 were not true wireless as the two buds were connected with a cable. Also, the old Pixel Buds were not exactly impressive.
Google Pixel Buds 2 Features
The Pixel Buds 2 were designed after scanning thousands of ears for a comfortable fit, the company says. The earbuds weigh just 5.3g each and Google claims that they have solved the issue of earbuds falling out of the ear. The Pixel Buds 2 are IPX4 rated which makes them sweat and water-resistant.
Google uses custom-designed 12mm dynamic speaker drivers supporting passive noise reduction. The Pixel Buds sport dual beam-forming microphones and a voice accelerometer that suitably improve the voice call quality. The Adaptive Sound technology of the earbuds can adjust the music in real-time based on the environment just like auto-brightness works in smartphones.
Google Pixel Buds provide up to 5 hours of music and up to 2.5 hours of talk time while the charging case can add another 24 hours. A 10-minute charge from the case enables 2 hours of listening time. The charging case is Qi-certified empowering the users to go for wireless charging. A USB-C charging port is provided as well.
