Reliance Jio managed to convert an astounding 72 Million free users to Jio Prime which makes it “the largest migration from free to paid services in history.” To celebrate this phenomenal success, Reliance Jio announced Jio Summer Surprise plan whereby it has extended 15 days deadline for its prime subscribers and has awarded three more months of free subscription for its prime users who recharge with 303 or higher value plan!
Earlier, Reliance Jio had enrolled 100 million subscribers for its free Happy New Year offer and Jio Prime membership extends free access to Jio Apps by one year and entails several more data benefits to Jio users. The Rs 303/ month plan for Jio Prime users will extend all benefits that they were earlier enjoying with the Happy New Year plan.

The company further assured that the Jio Summer Surprise Plan is one of many ‘surprises’ which Reliance Jio has planned for its Jio Prime members.
With 72 Million Jio Prime users already on board, Reliance Jio has already gathered revenue to the tune of 712.8 Crores (99 INR per membership), without even counting the money coming from further Plan recharges. The new Jio Surprise plan will further motivate existing dormant Jio Prime members to be active and recharge with the 303 plan.
On the occasion, Reliance Jio Chairman Mr. Mukesh Ambani stated “Jio’s free service period is COMING TO AN END. Users who do not recharge by the extended date of 15th April will experience degradation and/or discontinuation of services. Jio has created the world’s largest greenfield 4G LTE wireless broadband network, with over 100,000 mobile towers. And we will add another 100,000 towers to our network in the coming months. This greenfield investment – of over Rs 200,000 crores – is the largest anywhere in the world.”

Reliance Jio Summer Surprise Offer Details:
- Deadline for Jio Prime subscription that costs Rs. 99 has been extended to April 15
- Jio Prime users who recharge with Rs. 303 Plan will get free excess to Jio services for next 3 months
- The Rs. 303 that you pay will be counted as your subscription fee for the month of July. So spending 303 now will give you a total of 4 months of Jio services (Free calls, 1GB Data per day)
- Jio assures that this is the first of many upcoming surprises that it has planned for Jio Prime users down the road.
