Despite struggling to get over the financial crisis plaguing the company, the think tank at LeEco seems to be content with splashing the water around and trying to swim rather than accept the fate and drown peacefully.

Another such attempt, if recent news is to be believed, is taking shape in the form of a smartphone, that will come out sporting a dual camera unit at the back.

The flagship dual camera handset will also boast of an AI assistant (most probably homegrown) and will put the Chinese company as yet another entrant into the list of companies having atleast one dual camera phone in their arsenal.

The post on Weibo, which outed the news, didn’t divulge anything else about the phone except for the optics and a slight hint at the processor to be used in it.

The phone, the post said, will come out featuring a dual camera setup at the both the front as well as the back.

The type of processor that is supposed to be powering the phone is shifting between the Snapdragon 821 chipset as well as the very latest Snapdragon 835 one.

Coming to the AI assistant bit, the tipster confirmed that the phone would have one following similar lines as Samsung’s Bixby, making the device the first one from LeEco’s roster to do so.

That’s what we were able to decipher from the post for the specifications part.

The only other thing that the post let out, was the date of the release of the phone, which has been pegged at 11th April.
