Xiaomi announced to launch Redmi Smart TV on March 17; expected to have a big screen

Xiaomi has teased a poster on Twitter indicating the launch of a TV with a big screen size under its sub-brand Redmi. The event is scheduled to be held on March 17 at 12 noon. The company is marketing the upcoming product with the hashtag ‘#XLExperience’.

Well, this is not the first time the brand has teased about the television. Earlier during the launch of the Redmi Note 10 series, Xiaomi released a teaser video featuring the edges of a TV with words, ‘The XL Experience’.

Looking at the portfolio of Xiaomi in India which at the moment includes TVs with up to 65-inch, it could be possible that the company could bring an 86-inch or similar sized TV. Some of you may know that earlier it launched the Redmi MAX 86-inch TV in its home market. So now we could safely expect the same to arrive in India with a similar set of specs.

Redmi MAX TV 86-inch specifications (China version)

As the model name suggests, the Redmi MAX TV comes with a big 86-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It offers 4K picture quality at a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. It supports HDR10+, HDR, and Dolby Vision technology. It comes with two in-built speakers producing 12W output and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD surround sound.

The Redmi Max TV is equipped with a quad-core processor and is assisted by a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage capacity. It runs on MIUI TV operating system. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and an Ethernet jack.

Redmi MAX TV 86-inch Price

The Redmi MAX TV 86-inch is priced at 7,999 Yuan (around INR 89,900) in China. While we expect moderate pricing for its Indian version models, the company could also launch more than one model at competent prices.
