Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Makes Global Debut in India with Snapdragon 675 SoC and 48MP Sony IMX586 Sensor

Xiaomi Redmi Note series has just added two new members the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7. While the later went official in China last month, Xiaomi strategically decided to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro first in India globally. Redmi Note 7 Pro Features: What’s noteworthy?

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro for the first time comes with 6.3-inch LPTS screen that has a U-shaped Dot-notch at the top. Of course, it has full HD+ resolution with 19.5:9 aspects ratio. Following the in-trend gradient aesthetics, Xiaomi has introduced it and calls it Aura Design language. The glorious front and back are protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 5.

Following the Vivo V15 Pro, the Redmi Note 7 Pro becomes the second smartphone to come with Snapdragon 675 Chipset which is based on Kryo 460 architecture.

The phone comes with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Note 7 Pro comes running on Xiaomi’s custom Android OS MIUI10. The phone also supports storage expansion via micro-SD card. The phone also has a 3.5mm audio jack and IR blaster.

The 48MP rear camera might not be news to you. The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with Sony’s IMX586 coupled with a 5MP depth sensor. Xiaomi uses a 48MP sensor with pixel binning technology to produce 12MP shots in low light. It is worth mentioning here is that 48MP shot option is only available in the Pro mode. The selfie game is handled by a 13-megapixel sensor at the front.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is packed with huge 4,000mAh battery with a Quick Charge 4 support. It also comes with a USB type C port.

Redmi Note 7 Indian variant doesn’t get 48MP sensor

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 launched in India is no the same device that was launched in China recently. While most of the innards are the same, Xiaomi has replaced 48MP Samsung sensor with a 12MP camera. In India, the Redmi Note 7 comes with a  12MP+2MP rear camera setup and a 13MP selfie camera.

The Redmi Note Note 7 Indian variant is also powered by 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor. Xiaomi is offering it in two configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB Storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage options. Apart from this, the rest of the specs are identical to its ‘Pro’ sibling. It also has a 6.3 inches, 1080 x 2340 px, Dot Notch display. It also runs on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie. It also supports 18W fast charging support to fuel a 4000mAh battery. Notably, both of them would have a 10W charger within the box.

Redmi Note 7 Pro Price, Launch Offers and Availability

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro price in India for the higher version 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is Rs 16,999. The Redmi Note 7 Pro with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage variant to retail for 13,999. The Redmi Note 7 Pro sale will be held at noon on March 13 on Flipkart and Mi store.

As a launch offer, Redmi has partnered with Airtel to give you up to 1,120GB of 4G data, unlimited calling, and free access to Airtel TV premium. Furthermore, you also get a free bundled “ultra-slim” case.

Redmi Note 7 Price and Availability

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 price in India for the higher version 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is Rs 11,999. The Redmi Note 7 Pro with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage variant to retail for 9,999. Xiaomi will hold the Redmi Note 7 first sale online at noon on March 6 on Mi store and Flipkart.
