After recently converting its popular Redmi-series to a sub-brand, Xiaomi has today started off with the first Redmi phone. In the typical Xiaomi fashion, the new Redmi Note 7 seems to offer astonishingly high value for the asking price.
Big ticket Redmi Note 7 features include Snapdragon 660, 4000mAh battery, a water-drop notch, and of course, the 48MP primary rear camera.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 7 price starts at just 999 yuan (roughly Rs. 10,000) for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/64GB storage option costs 1299 yuan (roughly Rs. 12,500)The top Redmi Note 7 model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage costs 1,399 yuan (or roughly Rs. 14,500).
That makes Redmi Note 7 the cheapest Snapdragon 660 phone around. For now, the Redmi Note 7 has been announced only for China, but we expect it to make it to India and other markets soon.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Features: Should you be excited?
Before you get too excited, you must factor in the fact that more megapixels don’t necessarily translate to better photography, it’s more of a reference to a bigger picture.
With so many pixels cramming the 1/2-inch 48MP sensor, the pixel size is reduced to 0.8-micron, which is smaller than what’s standard. As expected, Xiaomi combines data from 4 neighboring pixels (pixel-binning) to increase the effective pixel size to 1.6-microns and to capture detailed 12MP shots – so 12MP shots sound more interesting and are what you should look forward to. The 48MP sensor is also paired with a 5MP depth sensor to enhance portrait shots.
Another big change is that the Redmi Note 7 finally ushers in a much-needed design refresh. Looks like Xiaomi will finally be replacing the three-tier metal back for a neater glass body finish in 2019. The Note 7 also has a water-drop notch and USB Type-C port (finally!).
