The Note is one of the most successful smartphone series from Xiaomi. Last year, the company had reportedly sold over 20 million units of phones from its Note 9 roster. So, as the hints of the successor surface, we look forward to seeing if and how Xiaomi manages to replicate the success. This year too, we are expecting three phones namely Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. Off of these, the Pros will have the better offering on the table. And as the modifier suggests, the lattermost one will boast 5G capability.

So, here we will take a look at what these Pro Notes have to provide.

TLDR

  • Redmi Note 10 series is set to launch in March 2021
  • The expected price may start at Rs. 17,000 with the 5G model costing a tad more.
  • Redmi Note 10 4G and 5G variants are expected to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 735G and Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processors respectively.

Redmi Note 10 Pro: Everything we know so far

The Note series is sought after for their price to performance ratio. And the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro 5G, which are like the best of the bunch won’t be any different, we believe.

The Redmi Note 10 series is expected to be announced in February. We have already seen the phones listed in major certification sites including India’s own BIS. So, their arrival should be right around the block.

Design and Display

Coming to the lowdown, the phones are likely to flaunt a 120Hz IPS LCD panel upfront. The teaser suggests a center punch-hole and Gorilla Glass protection. And the back or say, the body will be of colors like Bronze, Blue, and Gray. The device will be IP52 rated against water and dust resistance too.

Cameras

Therein will be a quad-camera stack comprising a 64MP primary shooter accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle, macro, and depth sensor.

Processor, Battery, and Connectivity

Redmi Note 10 will ship with a processor that’s built for gaming.

If rumors are to be believed, the 4G model will be utilizing a Snapdragon 735G (yet to be announced) while the 5G edition will sport a Snapdragon 750G instead. This will be coupled with the following memory configurations — 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB.

The software on top will mostly be Android 11 based MIUI 12 with all the features and frills. Speaking of features, the phone will have the table stakes like 5G/dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band WiFi, Type C port, and a 3.5mm jack.

The leaks suggest a 5,050mAh battery as the internal power source. This is expected to be backed by a 33W fast charger. But, a recent Weibo outing by Redmi GM, Mr. Lu Weibing, we fret there will be no adapter inside the box. While taking suggestions for the forthcoming Redmi Note 10 phones, he accepted a user comment of excluding the charger from the package. His response was “message received,” which birthed our concerns. Well, even if it ends up true, we hope it’s executed like Mi 11‘s case wherein the user was given the free choice to tick whether they want an in-box charger or not.

Anyways, we count on seeing these and other concerns getting answers in the days leading to the launch. So, bookmark this page to stay abreast of the Redmi Note 10 Pro and its siblings.
